Privacy

Quiet Menace is a static website. We do not require accounts, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data.

What is stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Third parties

Photographs are loaded from Unsplash's image servers, which means your browser connects to images.unsplash.com when you view a page. Our site is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard server logs such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. Share buttons and our Instagram, X and LinkedIn links are plain links and load nothing from those platforms until you click them. The copy link button uses your browser's clipboard only when you press it.

Email and the newsletter

If you email us or use our contact form, we use your name and address only to reply. Contact form messages are collected through Netlify Forms. If you sign up for The Menace Brief, your email address is collected through Netlify Forms, our hosting provider, and used only to send the newsletter. Every issue includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to delete your address by writing to editors@quietmenace.com. We never sell or share subscriber lists.

Changes and contact

We will update this page if our practices change. Questions go to editors@quietmenace.com.
